A December 10 order by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine put in place stricter COVID-19 mitigation efforts for the next three weeks.

The orders, which take effect at 12:01 a.m. on December 12, and remain in effect until 8 a.m. on January 4, 2021, impact:

  • Capacity limits for businesses

    • Note: The capacity limits outlined in the order are intended for those entities offering in-person businesses that serve the public within a building. Child Care is not a public-facing business.

  • Indoor/outdoor gatherings and events

    • Note: Groups of people who share a space within a building in the ordinary course of operations, such as in an office building, classroom, licensed child care and non-licensed school-age programs, production floor or similar regularly occurring operation of a business or organization, are not events or gatherings.

  • In-person dining and alcohol sales

  • Gyms and fitness facilities

  • Entertainment facilities

  • School extracurricular activities

  • K-12 school and youth sports

  • Professional and collegiate sports
