Share Your Story for Month of the Young Child

Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children is collecting stories from families and Early Childhood Education (ECE) professionals to feature during Month of the Young Child in April.

Month of the Young Child focuses public attention on the needs of young children and their families and recognizes the early childhood programs and services that meet those needs.

Submitted and approved ECE professional and family stories will be published on Pennsylvania’s Promise for Children website.

Story Ideas

A child care provider’s story could be about:

  • Their experiences making an impact with families and children

  • How they help young children grow, how they help children feel safe and loved, learn new things, or meet and get along with new people

  • Why they are an ECE professional

A family’s story might be about:

  • What makes their child special

  • How the help of a home visitor, therapist, or nurse at a home-visiting program has made an impact for their child and family

  • How a child care, early learning program, or teacher has helped their family and their child

Share Your Story

Families and providers who are interested in sharing their story must fill out and submit this form. Email the completed form to papromise@pakeys.org or mail it to: Promise story submission, ATTN: Mary Hall, PA Key, 200 North 3rd St., 3rd Floor, Harrisburg PA 17101.

Here are examples of previously submitted provider and family stories. Identifiable information about a family or a child (like last names or specific locations) will not be shared.
