Relative Provider ARPA Stabilization Grant Application

The American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) includes funding to child care providers, including eligible Child Care Works (CCW) relative care providers.

Eligibility

Relative care providers are eligible if they:

  • Are not receiving unemployment compensation when they apply for the grant

  • Had a CCW enrollment(s) on March 11, 2021

  • Have a CCW enrollment(s) on the date they apply for the grant

  • Have a provider agreement with the Early Learning Resource Center (ELRC)

Eligible providers will receive $1,000 per CCW enrollment on March 11, 2021.

Allowable Expenses

ARPA Stabilization Grant funds can be used for:

  • COVID-19 related past expenses

  • Rent/Mortgage payments, including late fees

  • Utilities (including late fees)

  • Health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Personal protective equipment (PPE), including cleaning and sanitization supplies and services, or training and related to health and safety practices

  • Equipment and supplies to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency

  • Materials, goods, or services necessary to care for the CCW related child(ren)

  • Mental health services to support the mental health of children and the provider

NOTE: Recipients must keep a record of how they spend the ARPA grant funding.

The deadline to apply is January 31, 2022. Applications will continue to be accepted based on availability of funds.
