Mon Valley Program Helps Residents with Goals and Financial Well-Being

Mon Valley residents can take advantage of a program that helps them to achieve their goals and financial well-being as well as offers other services such as college enrollment and community resources.

The Supports for Success program provides one-on-one coaching, advocacy, resources and referrals, and ongoing support to help individuals and families meet their goals.

Services offered by the program include:

  • Goal and action step planning

  • Resume development and job search assistance

  • Enrolling in college or vocational training 

  • Budget and credit counseling

  • Referrals to public or community resources

To enroll in the program, participants must be age 18 or older and meet income eligibility requirements - 200% of the federal poverty level or less - as well as be working toward employment, education, or a training goal. 

Participants must also live within the Mon Valley of Allegheny County.

Those interested in the program should be willing to:

  • Collaborate with a Supports specialist to plan, set, and achieve goals and develop a budget

  • Attend monthly meetings and share updates

  • Provide income and other verification documents for enrollment and continued eligibility
