ELRC Region 5 Downtown Office Now Open by Appointment
Beginning July 6, 2021, the Early Learning Resource Center Region 5 will reopen its physical downtown office by appointment only for families and professionals interested in accessing services and support.
Hours for appointments and dropbox access at the office, located at 304 Wood Street, STE 400 in downtown Pittsburgh, will be Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Satellite offices will not be reopening at this time.
All staff will be required to follow guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including wearing a mask while walking through or working in communal spaces, socially distancing themselves from others, sanitizing their workspaces regularly, and maintaining proper handwashing.
It is recommended that anyone with an appointment wear a mask while visiting the ELRC Region 5 office regardless of vaccination status. There will be masks available upon request for adults and children. Front desk staff will take everyone’s temperature as they enter the ELRC Region 5 suite, and anyone with a temperature of 100.4 or higher will be asked to reschedule their appointment. Anyone entering the office will be asked to wash their hands before being seen for an appointment.
ELRC Region 5 staff will work to accommodate everyone’s appointments while ensuring appropriate distancing practices. Those with appointments will be escorted to a meeting room once they check in with the front desk to avoid overcrowding the lobby.
Virtual and phone appointments continue to be available for convenience and safety. Clients can contact their family specialist, family navigator or early learning program engagement specialist to coordinate their meeting to occur by phone.
In-person operations will continue to be dependent on recommendations provided by Governor Wolf and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The ELRC Region 5 will continue to monitor these recommendations.
