Round Three CARES Act Funding Available

The Pennsylvania Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) was awarded Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding to support child care providers across Pennsylvania the COVID-19 pandemic.

A third round of CARES Act Child Care Development Funds will be distributed to eligible, certified child care providers through their regional Early Learning Resource Center at the end of September.

In order to be eligible for and receive the CARES Act funding, all providers must complete, sign, and date the updated attestation form (even if they submitted the June and July forms) and return it by: 

  • Emailing it to: elrc5@alleghenycounty.us by September 18, 2020. Please note: When emailing back the form, please put ATTESTATION FORM in the subject line. Anyone who types their name into the form’s signature line must include the following statement in the return email: “I, [NAME], attest that this is my signature.”

  • Dropping it off in: the ELRC drop box located in the lobby at 304 Wood Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15222

  • Faxing it to: 412.350.3575

  • Mailing to: ELRC 5, 304 Wood St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222 Attention: Attestation Form

*Note: Faxing or mailing the form may delay the receipt of funds. The form also must be downloaded BEFORE it is filled out.

The allocation of these funds is based on the results of The Impacts of COVID-19 on Pennsylvania Child Care Providers study completed by researchers at Penn State University.
