The Pittsburgh Learning Collaborative (PLC) is hosting its third annual summit in collaboration with Carlow University on Thursday, April 24.

The event - Weathering Our Changing Education Ecosystem - is aimed at solidifying the PLC as an adaptive resource in the region. Topics will include governmental programs, regional and local impacts of top-down education decisions, immigration, housing, food security, and more.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Bettina Love, the author of "Punished for Dreaming: How School Reform Harms Black Children and How We Heal." Her work covers such topics as abolitionist teaching, anti-racism, Hip Hop education, Black girlhood, queer youth, educational reparations, and the use of art-based education to foster youth civic engagement.
The summit will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Phipps Conservatory. Registration is open.
