The Pittsburgh Glass Center will host a sensory friendly open house on May 25 that will include tours, demonstrations, and activities that are appropriate for all ages.

The free open house will take place when the center is closed to the public, so visitors may explore the space on their own.

Activities include a self-guided tour of the Pittsburgh Glass Center's four studios, gallery and retail space. There will also be glassblowing demonstrations in the center's Hot Shop as well as a designated chill zone with activities for visitors of all ages.

Visitors are encouraged to borrow a sensory kit from the center's front desk upon arrival. It includes noise-canceling headphones, paper fans, fidget toys, and more items to help visitors with sensory sensitivities navigate the space.
