The CHILD assessment views mental health as an integral part of an educator’s skills that can be applied in everyday situations. Professional development for CHILD is being offered statewide to teachers and directors who work with pre-kindergarten children ages three to five. These events are being offered at no cost by the Pennsylvania Key:

Space is limited, so early application is requested with a deadline of October 16, 2019. Applicants will receive an an acceptance e-mail by October 21, 2019. Priority will be given to teacher/director teams interested in learning more about quality social-emotional practices to supportive positive mental health in pre-k children.
Individual teachers and directors will also be considered for attendance. Once priority spots are filled, the PA Key will consider filling any remaining seats with other partners who may have applied (such as Quality Coaches).
