Planning for Advocacy During Month of the Young Child

  • ELRC Region 5 304 Wood Street, STE 400 Pittsburgh, PA, 15222 United States (map)

Are you interested in advocating during the Month of the Young Child in April? Join Trying Together on Thursday, March 25 for a free online course, “Planning for Advocacy During Month of the Young Child.”

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) established the Week of the Young Child in 1971. Trying Together designated the entire month of April as the Month of the Young Child (MOYC). This presents an opportunity to celebrate the early care and education profession and plan how we will better meet the needs of all young children, families, caregivers, and educators.

During this session, presenters will review the advocacy basics and discuss the Early Learning PA (ELPA) campaigns and the current policy landscape. Most importantly, we will plan for ways you can take action throughout the month as a way to celebrate successes and advocate for continued support and investments.
